About Jérôme Romain

Jérôme Romain is arguably one of the most interesting emerging painters in France. After several exhibits in France and Switzerland, this young man was invited to the show “Résonance”, the main event associated with the Lyon Biennale. Combining an extensive palette and a very precise touch, Jérôme Romain represents his daily life with friends, family, and the objects that surround him. Everything can be rediscovered under his eye. Caring for the human race, Jérôme Romain deploys all his technical capacities and his talent to grasp intimacy, identities but also the otherness of his surroundings. In this modern world of instant everything, it’s comforting to see an artist taking his time with each of his paintings, carefully working his canvases with oil and building the frames himself. It seems that Jérôme Romain is here to stay, and his canvases too.
